LNS Research Network

The LNS Research Network is a loosely organized group of researchers and practitioners with a common interest in exploring the potential for lipid-based nutrient supplements to contribute to prevention of malnutrition. Many members, and their organizations, may also have experience with therapeutic uses of LNS but this is not the main focus of the Research Network.

The objective of the Network is to facilitate on-going communication and exchange of information and experience – among researchers, among practitioners, and between the two.

The iLiNS Project contributes to this exchange through providing information at this website, including information contributed by any Network member on recent, on-going or planned research. This includes research on efficacy as well as program research (e.g. on implementation and operational issues and/or effectiveness). Learn more.

The iLiNS Project will also host annual LNS Research Network meetings in conjunction with iLiNS Project annual meetings, and may sponsor sessions and side-meetings at conferences, particularly when these take place in developing countries. The first LNS Research Network meeting was held in February, 2009 and the meeting report is available here.

Finally, the iLiNS Project maintains a mailing list of Network members. Network members will receive periodic updates on new resources and information available at this website, as well as announcements of upcoming meetings. Please contact us if you are interested in joining this Network.
